After this inspirational weekend I spent 3 days in Paris to assist at the 8th edition of “planet workshop” at the UNESCO building. The purpose of the Planet workshops is to challenge the life of ideas, encourage intellectual innovation and produce expertise to accompany the long term vision of decision makers. Within 3 days explorers, scientists, politicians, economists and opinion leaders expose and confront their ideas for a sustainable world. My strongest moment was the call for international citizen mobilization around the Paris Appeal for the High Seas, which has been read in presence of several personalities famous for their engagement for seas and oceans preservation. It was really interesting as all the personalities were easily reachable after their talk. I had the chance to meet two of the most recognized faces in the marine world: Sylvia Earl and Jean Michel Cousteau.
